Fall Pumpkin, Berry, Leaf & Amber Glass Globe Pillar Candle Holder Centerpiece


Thanksgiving always held fond memories for my family and me. Growing up a military brat we usually were far away from our extended families so special occasions like Thanksgiving held extra meaning. Mom always went out of her way to make the traditional Thanksgiving meal, turkey with all the trimmings and hot apple cider. Dad always made the sweet potato souffle. Not missing were an array of delicious desserts including homemade apple pie, pecan pie and pumpkin pie, of course. The memory of the fragrant aromas wafting through the house make me anxious for Thanksgiving to come quickly!


Mom also took extra special care to make sure the dining room table was as beautiful as the food was delicious. The table was carefully polished before the immaculately ironed Thanksgiving table cloth was put on. Spotless silverware was placed on top of carefully folded linen napkins. The plates, glasses and other tableware exactly placed. However, the final touch was always the Thanksgiving centerpiece. I remember Mom would shop around for weeks before the big day looking for the perfect centerpiece. Often she would come home empty handed, forcing her to make her own beautiful centerpieces. Once that table was ready with the centerpiece in place, no one could deny it was a beautiful sight!
Though those days are long past, I still like to carry on the tradition by have a beautiful Thanksgiving table centerpiece as the focal point of our table.
